 What is alkyd resin?

Alkyd resin is an importent synthetic resin, widely used in coatings, paints, wood coatings, anti-rust paints, industrial coatings and other fields.


Alkyd Resin Production Line Equipment Configuration

  • Esterification reactor: Performs the polycondensation reaction between polyols and polyacids (or anhydrides).
  • Condenser: Recovers water or alcohol produced during the reaction to improve yield.
  • Liquid storage tank: Cools resin and prepares solvents after production to adjust viscosity.
  • Vacuum system: Improve reaction efficiency, lower reaction temperature and prevent side reactions.
  • Metering feeding system: Automatically and precisely controls raw material feeding to improve formulation consistency.
